Our jewelry artisans typically use sterling silver and yellow laton (an alloy of copper and zinc sometimes called jewelers brass) used since ancient times in jewelry-making.  Gold is too expensive and mining is a contentious issue for most of the regions artisans.  Our jewelry contains no nickel which is often the cause of green lines left behind after removing jewelry.    Care for silver and laton by soaking in silver jewelry cleansing bath or rubbing with silvercloth to gently clean and brighten finish. Or enjoy the more casual look of the antique jewelry patina.
