These bags are truly one-of-a-kind. They are made from hand-woven huipils, which are made by women to be worn as a blouse. Each garment is woven on a backstop loom with symbols and patterns unique to their village and cosmology. The huipils are then often hand-embroidered. A huipil can take up to 4 months to handcraft. Leatherworkers will carefully stitch the huipil into their design to craft a truly beautiful and unique bag.
